Anti-Discrimination Cell

Rahman Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (RIPSR) is an institution where the spirit of learning is cherished daily. The institute is dedicated to ensuring equal access to all, irrespective of their caste, religion, language, or gender. It is committed to guaranteeing that every individual within the campus exercises equal rights in the process of imparting or receiving education. The principles of Justice, Peace, and Revolution form the foundation of the campus life at RIPSR. Any action, utterance, or intention that disrupts the harmony among individuals is taken seriously and addressed promptly to restore tranquility. Any such issues should be reported to the Anti-Discrimination Secretary, Dr. Ruhul Amin, who also serves as the principal (i/c), via email: - ruhulglp18@gmail.com.

Hence, Rahman Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Research (RIPSR) has constituted the Anti-discrimination Cell for the Institution comprising of the following members.

Objectives of the Cell

• This cell will look after the related matters if any of depriving a student/staff or group of students on the basis of caste, creed, language, ethnicity, gender, different ability.
• This cell always try to uphold the dignity of the institution by addressing the concerns (if any) brought into the notice related to equality in offering or receiving education inside the campus.
• This cell ensures conductive environment for academic growth of the people belonging to the institution.
• This cell protects the right of individuals without any prejudice to their appearance of lifestyle the process of learning inside the campus.
• The cell shall eliminate discrimination against or harassment of any individual in all forms by prohibiting it any by providing preventive and protective measures to facilitate its eradication punishments for those who indulge in any form of discrimination or harassment.

The Anti-discrimination Committee at the Rahman Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research has the following roles and responsibilities:

1. Safeguard Student Interests: The Committee is established to protect the interests of students, irrespective of their caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender, or disability. It aims to eliminate discrimination or harassment against any student in the college by implementing preventive measures and facilitating punishment for those who engage in any form of discrimination, thereby promoting equality among students.
2. Handle Complaints: The Committee is responsible for receiving complaints from students affected by discrimination based on caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender, or disability. It conducts a thorough enquiry into each complaint and submits a detailed report to the appropriate authority for suitable action.
3. Conduct Regular Meetings: The Convener of the Committee is required to conduct meetings once every three months and send the minutes of the meeting to the appropriate authority.
